What's included — just software, or hardware too?
We handle the complete IoT stack — hardware selection or custom design, firmware development, connectivity setup, cloud backend, and the web or mobile dashboard. For most projects, we source the hardware (sensors, gateways, microcontrollers) from our supplier network and include it in the project cost. For custom hardware requirements, we design and manufacture custom PCB-based devices. For Delhi NCR clients, we handle physical installation and commissioning. For outstation and international clients, we provide detailed installation documentation and video call commissioning support. You end up with a complete, working system — not components you need to assemble yourself.
My location has poor WiFi — can IoT still work?
Yes — and this is exactly why we start with a site survey. WiFi is only one of many connectivity options. LoRa (Long Range) can transmit sensor data over 10 kilometres with sub-cent power consumption, making it ideal for farms, warehouses, and remote sites. For moving assets (vehicles, containers), we use 4G/LTE SIM-based trackers. For short-range indoor deployments, BLE or Zigbee work without internet connectivity at all, with a single gateway handling the cloud connection. NB-IoT uses the mobile network at extremely low power and cost. We choose the connectivity that works in your actual environment — not the one that's easiest to implement on our end.
How long does it take to deploy an IoT system?
A simple monitoring system — temperature/humidity sensors with a basic dashboard and WhatsApp alerts — can be live in 2–3 weeks. A smart building deployment with 50+ sensors, automated controls, and a custom BMS dashboard typically takes 6–8 weeks including hardware procurement. An industrial IIoT deployment integrating with existing PLCs/SCADA and requiring OEE calculations typically takes 8–12 weeks. Custom hardware design and manufacturing adds 6–8 weeks for PCB design and first article testing. We always pilot first — 5–10 sensors in one zone to validate data quality and alert thresholds — before scaling to the full deployment.
What happens if a sensor stops working after installation?
Every IoT system we build has device heartbeat monitoring built in — the cloud platform expects a data packet from each sensor at its configured interval, and raises an alert if a sensor goes silent for 3× that interval. So a sensor failure is detected automatically and you're notified before you'd otherwise notice the gap in data. For hardware faults, we provide a 1-year warranty on all hardware we supply and 3 months of post-deployment support included in every project. After the support period, we offer maintenance retainers for ongoing support, OTA firmware updates, and hardware replacement at preferential rates.
Can IoT integrate with our existing ERP or production software?
Yes — IoT data becomes most valuable when it flows directly into your production planning, quality management, or maintenance systems. We have integrated IoT data with SAP, Tally, Zoho, custom ERP systems, and production databases. Integration happens via REST API calls from our IoT cloud platform to your ERP, or via database writes if your system exposes a database connection. For legacy systems without APIs, we can build middleware that translates IoT events into the format your legacy system expects. We discuss integration requirements in the scoping phase and include all integration work in the project scope.
How is the IoT data stored and kept secure?
All IoT data is stored in time-series databases (InfluxDB or TimescaleDB) on cloud infrastructure you own — AWS, GCP, or a managed VPS depending on your requirements and budget. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Device authentication uses unique device certificates or API keys per device — no shared credentials. For compliance-critical applications (pharmaceutical, food safety), data is stored with tamper-evident logging and 5-year retention as required by FSSAI and WHO GDP. For on-premise requirements (banks, government, healthcare), we can deploy the entire IoT platform on your own servers with no data leaving your network.
